GIS is a system of hardware and software used for storage, retrieval, mapping, and analysis of geographic data. Each element is stored in a coordinate system (usually latitude and longitude) which references a particular place on the earth. GIS can be used for scientific investigations, resource management, and development planning. All the data stored in the database can be transferred to map and assist in decision making for administrations and managers.
